Interested in borrowing tools from South King Tool Library? It's easy and open to anyone - even if you don't live in South King County. Becoming a member is similar to getting a traditional library card. Give it a try!

Click the member application button to fill out your member information. Once you have registered as a member, choose the donation amount that's right for you*. You may donate online while signed into your member account, or donate by mail.

Click here for a step-by-step guide to becoming a SKTL member.

*If you aren't able to make a donation at this time, that's okay. Donations aren't required, but they are how we keep in operation.  The suggested donation levels are:

$40 - Standard Household (annually)

$300 - Lifetime Member (a one-time donation, lasts forever!)

Hey - SKTL isn't open yet. Can you really sign up now? Yep! It only takes a few minutes and helps us prepare our inventory. You can choose your membership type and activate your checkout privileges once we're open. Don't wait - join us!

South King Tool Library is a volunteer-run organization and we are at a pivotal time in our development. Currently, we have a need for volunteers with various skills, knowledge, and experience. Fixers, creatives, data heads, and folks who just like pitching in when they can. Here are our most urgent needs right now:

  • Building

  • Managing Inventory

Members can opt to donate volunteer time instead of money to cover their annual membership contribution.  Other ways you can volunteer are:

  • Project coordination

  • Communications

  • Event planning & support

  • Fundraising

  • Grant writing

  • Social media

  • Translation services

  • Financial advisement

  • Construction advisement

If you have some time to give, please let us know. We will help you match your interests to an opportunity you'll enjoy!
