Construction Update: Building a Building
The South King Tool Library is
beyond proud to introduce the architectural rendering of our future site!
You may have heard that back in July SKTL submitted it’s construction plans for approval by the City of Federal Way. As we eagerly wait for approval, the supporters of SKTL are continuing to secure building materials and contractors to create the most sustainable and steadfast structure that is possible.
We have many people to thank for their hard-work, dedication and investment into this community resource.
Thornton F. McElroy Lodge and the Federal Way Masons are providing leased space to SKTL on their property.
Sundberg, Kennedy, Ly-Au Young Architects for their beautiful design and this wonderful rendering.
PCS Structural Solutions for engineering the perfect design.
TOTE Maritime is donating two shipping containers for our building site.
Lloyd Enterprises, Inc. has donated a shipping container for an auxiliary storage location. Safety Director Chris Brown has also provided us with volunteer consulting and grading services to prepare our site for construction.
There are many more partners that have facilitated our progress and we look forward to working with many more local companies and organizations in our community as we move forward. Do you know of a great community partner for SKTL? Let us know! firstname.lastname@example.org
