South King Tool Library is a volunteer-run organization and we are at a pivotal time in our development. Currently, we have a need for volunteers with various skills, knowledge, and experience. Fixers, creatives, data heads, and folks who just like pitching in when they can.

We hold regularly scheduled volunteer times on every.

Friday and Saturday

10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Here are our most urgent needs right now:

  • Inside setup - painting, sanding, floor prep

  • Outside setup - pressure wash, heat gun, surface prep, painting

  • Gardening - weeding, pruning, harvesting, planting

  • Inventory - testing, input, and upload into our web based software

  • Translation services - Spanish and other languages needed for documents and event support.

  • Fixers - simple and complex repairs on items that need tune-ups or full repair.

Some volunteer opportunities are more of an investment. If you are passionate about the Tool Library's mission, please consider these committed roles:

  • Tool checkout training - become a Tool Librarian

  • Director position on our Board

  • Committee membership: Communications,Event planning & support, Fundraising, Grant writing, Social media,Financial advisement, Non-profit development.
