Interested in borrowing tools from South King Tool Library? It's easy and open to anyone 18 years or over, for households, small businesses, service groups and more. Becoming a member is easier than getting a traditional library card. Give it a try - SIGN UP TO BORROW TOOLS!

Membership is FREE! Donations support our programs & allow us to sustain this model. Volunteering your valuable time is another way that you can contribute to this accessible model. Give the value you get! We ask members to consider making a feasible annual donation to help with operating costs. We accept donations through credit, cash, or check.
We do reserve the right to limit checkouts, suspend memberships, & hold individuals responsible for non-returned or damaged items.
Our goal is to have as many tools as possible in circulation at any time & for checkouts to be effective for the borrower. Damaged or long overdue items prevent that & could affect the amount of tools per loan or the duration of a loan for a violating member.
IMPORTANT: You must complete your membership application and signed waiver acknowledgement before you arrange tool checkout.
You're ready to borrow tools! Now what?
1. SIGN IN TO YOUR SKTL ACCOUNT, select tools from the inventory, choose pick up and return days and checkout. If you don't see what you are looking for, contact us at 253-237-2290 or info@southkingtools.org.
2. Once the reservation is approved, you're all set. FIND US ON THE MAP
3. Arrive at SKTL during your open hours.
4. When it's time to return your tools, come on back during open hours and drop them off.

Mon 11 AM - 1 PM
Wed 4 - 6 PM (Spring/Summer, PDT)
Wed 2 - 4 PM (Winter, PST)
Sat 11 AM - 1 PM
AUBURN HOURS:
Thursday 4 - 6 PM
Saturday 4 - 7 PM
Have tools to donate?
Our inventory is always expanding as we accept, test and input new tool donations. If you want to see what's available before becoming a member, take a look at our CURRENT INVENTORY.
Do you have tools to donate? EMAIL US! Here's some guidance:
ACCEPTED: Working tools that are clean, gently used or like new, and have all their parts. As we are getting ready for spring, we can take pressure washers and attachments, shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows. And specialty tools like sewing machines, etc.
NOT CURRENTLY NEEDED: Corded lawn mowers, string trimmers, edgers, large air compressors, manual spreaders, manual lawn mowers, jack stands, jig saws, skil saws, drills, consumables like nails, screws, bolts, washers, nuts, wire, and anything big or bulky.
NEVER ACCEPTED: Anything gas powered, broken, leaking or missing the parts or power supplies. Building supplies like paint and hardware can go to Habitat for Humanity.
